CBI has declared results for the list of shortlisted candidates for interview call for the post of Public Prosecutor. In total there are 48 post listed in the Public Prosecutor which is to be filled. UPSC has also published list of those candidates who were not selected for interview and the reason for their rejection.
Provisional list of the candidates were also published for consideration upon submission of the requisite documents sought by the UPSC for the post of Public Prosecutor in CBI.

Important Note for Public Prosecutor post in CBI
Candidate/s, who desire to represent against their rejection or submit their deficient documents in accordance with criteria and modalities adopted, for shortlisting candidates to be called for interview for the said post, may submit the same with substantive ground (s)/ reason(s) to (SOSPC2.UPSC@NIC.IN) by 07.07.2024 with subject as REP: 48 PP,CBI_ROLL.NO.
Mails received after this date would not be opened. All the representations would be examined and if in any
case the grounds/reasons indicated therein are found to be correct as per criteria and modalities adopted, such applications would be shortlisted. However, the same would be examined only with reference to age, category, qualification, experience claimed in the Online Recruitment Application.
Thereafter, revised and updated scrutiny details would be uploaded in this space. No individual replies would be given to any of these e-mails. Non-submission of deficient documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.

Modalities Adopted in Public Prosecutor post in CBI
The Birth Certificate/Aadhar Card has not been considered as valid proof of date of birth.
Caste Certificate in Prescribed Format (for SC/ST/OBC candidates), EWS Certificate in prescribed format.
OBC certificate should not be more than three years old. OBC certificate issued prior to 01.04.2020 has not been accepted.
OBC Candidate who furnished more than three years old certificate should have to furnish either OBC Certificate or Non- Creamy layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2020 and undertaking for person belonging to non-creamy layer. The same will be collected at the time of Interview.
Candidates having OBC Community certificate issued for their respective state list of OBC Community have been considered Not Eligible.
EWS certificate in prescribed format (for EWS candidates) valid for the Financial Year 2023-24 has been accepted.
Candidates having any Degree in Law of a recognized University irrespective of being Bachelors’ Degree/Masters’ Degree have been considered Eligible.
Special Note for Public Prosecutor in CBI
Failure in submission of requisite Community Certificates in order to verify their claim for reservation for their respective Community will lead to consideration of candidature on GENERAL Category.
Non-submission of deficient documents by Provisional candidates may lead to cancellation of their candidatures.
Candidates who desire to submit the hard copies of their documents/representations may forward the same to the Under Secretary (SPC-II), Room No. 16, First Floor, Main Building, UPSC, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069 within 10 days (in any case not later than 07.07.2024) with subject as REP: : 48 PP,CBI_ROLL.NO.
