Court Master (Shorthand):

• A Degree in Law from a recognized university in India.
• Proficiency in English shorthand with a speed of 120 words per minute.
• Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Senior Personal Assistant:

• A Degree from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in English shorthand with a speed of 110 words per minute.
• Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Personal Assistant:

• A Degree from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in English shorthand with a speed of 100 words per minute.
• Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Experience Requirements

Court Master (Shorthand):

• Minimum five years of regular service in the cadre of Private Secretary, Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Senior Stenographer in Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Statutory bodies.

Age Criteria

Court Master (Shorthand):

• Age limit: 30 to 45 years.

Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant:

• Age limit: 18 to 30 years.

Relaxation in Age

• Relaxations in the upper age limit for Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024 are available for candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Dependents of Freedom Fighters) as per government norms.
• Departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry have no upper age limit.

Selection Process for Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024

The selection process for the posts of Court Master (Shorthand), Senior Personal Assistant, and Personal Assistant consists of the following stages:

Typing Speed Test on Computer

• Candidates must demonstrate a typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Errors allowed:
  • Court Master: 2% of the total words typed.
  • Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant: 3% of the total words typed.
• Maximum marks: 10 (Minimum qualifying marks: 5).

Shorthand Skill Test

• Candidates will take a shorthand test in English at varying speeds:
  • Court Master: 120 words per minute.
  • Senior Personal Assistant: 110 words per minute.
  • Personal Assistant: 100 words per minute.
• The time allotted for transcription is 45 minutes, with a maximum permissible error rate of 5%.
• Marks distribution: Based on accuracy, graded from 50% to 100%.
• Maximum marks: 100 (Minimum qualifying marks: 50).

Written Test

• Objective-type multiple-choice questions covering the following:
  • General English: 50 questions.
  • General Aptitude: 15 questions (Court Master) or 25 questions (SPA/PA).
  • Knowledge in Law: 25 questions (Court Master only).
  • General Knowledge: 10 questions (Court Master) or 25 questions (SPA/PA).
• Maximum marks: 100 (Minimum qualifying marks: 50; 45 for reserved categories).

Computer Knowledge Test

• Objective-type test assessing basic computer skills.
• Maximum marks: 10 (Minimum qualifying marks: 5; 4.5 for reserved categories).

Interview
